Ontario RTA Change Tracker

The in-force status of every key change to Ontario's rental law (RTA / LTB). We check official sources weekly and update once a change is confirmed in force. Bill 60 comes into force in batches: some changes took effect July 1, 2026, others take effect September 21, 2026, and the rest are still not proclaimed — always confirm on e-Laws / tribunalsontario.ca before serving any notice.

Important: serving notices or filing on rules that are NOT yet in force (e.g. a 7-day N4 served before September 21, 2026) can void your paperwork and get your application dismissed at the LTB. Until a change is in force, always use the rule shown under “Now.” This page is for information only, not legal advice.
